Description
The Early Intervention Job Coach (PO1) plays a vital role in supporting individuals with disabilities or employment barriers by helping them develop job-related skills and achieve successful integration into the workforce. This position is centered around assisting participants in identifying their strengths, setting career goals, and developing the necessary skills to obtain and retain employment. The Early Intervention Job Coach will work closely with diverse populations, providing personalized coaching and guidance tailored to individual needs. Utilizing a strengths-based approach, the coach will collaborate with employers and community organizations to create inclusive employment opportunities. As a key member of an interdisciplinary team, you will implement innovative job training programs and work one-on-one with participants to prepare them for job interviews, complete resumes, and engage in networking within their chosen fields. You will also facilitate workshops and group sessions, ensuring that each participant is empowered and equipped with the tools they need to navigate the job market confidently. This dynamic role requires not only expertise in employment support but also a genuine passion for advocating for individuals with unique challenges, helping them to achieve their professional aspirations and fostering their independence in the workplace.
Responsibilities
Provide individualized job coaching to participants with disabilities or employment barriers.
Assist clients in developing resumes, cover letters, and job search strategies.
Conduct mock interviews and provide feedback to enhance interview skills.
Facilitate workshops on essential job skills and workplace etiquette.
Collaborate with local businesses to identify job opportunities and partnerships.
Monitor participant progress and provide ongoing support and motivation.
Evaluate and assess participant needs to tailor coaching strategies accordingly.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Education, or a related field.
Experience in job coaching, vocational rehabilitation, or similar roles.
Strong understanding of the challenges faced by individuals with disabilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with diverse populations and in team settings.
Proficiency in developing and facilitating training materials and workshops.
Commitment to promoting inclusivity and diversity in the workplace.
Hours Per Week: 37.00

End Time: 17:00
