On behalf of the Hull & East Yorkshire Growth Hub, Hull City Council is recruiting to the post of Programme Support Officer. The postholder will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Growth Hub and its range of business support schemes.
The post will work within the HEY Growth Hub team which provides a range of business support to client businesses from across Hull and East Yorkshire, using various contracts of funding from government.
The post-holder will provide efficient and effective, integrated and responsive enterprise and administrative support services within the HEY Growth Hub team.
Principle duties will involve monitoring the performance data of the Growth Hub and its projects, maintaining and analysing management data and information, acting as first point of contact for incoming business enquiries and first-line 'triage' support, undertaking various financial procedures such as raising orders and paying invoices, and maintenance of the Growth Hub website and social media platforms. The postholder will also be required to support the delivery of the Growth Hub’s business-facing events.
Experience of working in an office environment whilst undertaking a range of administrative tasks, with a good understanding of IT based systems including Microsoft Office is essential. Previous experience of local government procedures and the Oracle e-business suite is desirable.
The successful candidate must have a ‘can do’ approach to the role and be committed to delivering an efficient and effective Growth Hub service to clients.

Please note, due to conditions of funding this is a fixed term contract ending 31st March 2026. Subject to future government funding, there is a possibility that this post will be extended in the future, though this cannot be guaranteed.
