The core purpose of this team is:



· Responsible for operational delivery of medical and dental recruitment programmes in line with specialty specific timelines and national direction.

· Follow nationally approved processes for recruitment to both national and local specialties.

· Deliver high level service to stake holders, including junior doctors, consultants.

· Ensure accurate communication and reporting to relevant stakeholders.

· Quality assure and review all processes.



· Responsible for administrative support and operational delivery of recruitment programmes in line with specialty specific timelines and national direction with a particular focus on applicant queries.

· Successfully assist with the end-to-end recruitment process to include vacancy creation; longlisting; shortlisting, self-assessment verification; interview/selection centre (currently online); offers and feedback

· Support the Recruitment Managers/ Coordinators, with the expectation they will take ownership particularly around applicant related issues.

· Source NW (Northwest) panel members to attend other national recruitment.

· Deputise as required at specialty specific recruitment board meetings.

· Develop a comprehensive working knowledge of key software including Oriel and Qpercom and willingness to support ongoing system development.

· Oversee the management of the national recruitment inboxes on a daily basis and respond to many of those queries. Answer telephone calls from applicants and panel members. Maintain national website and use of social media.

· Support recruitment events – which will involve early starts and late finishes on some occasions.

Colleagues with a contractual office base are expected to spend, on average, at least 40% of their time working in-person.

Staff recruited from outside the NHS will usually be appointed at the bottom of the pay band.

· Understanding of a range of work procedures and practices, some of which are non-routine (e.g., working with various systems) and require a base level of theoretical knowledge acquired through formal training or equivalent experience

· EducatedtoNVQ 4levelin arelevantsubjector equivalentlevelofqualification or significant equivalent previousproven experience.

· Significant demonstrable experience of working in an administrative/support role and maintaining systems

· Demonstrable experience in working with stakeholdersand dealing with sensitive and confidential information.

· IntermediateknowledgeofIT systemsandsoftwareprogrammessuchas Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint

· Understanding of Confidentiality and Data ProtectionAct. Knowledge of NHSissues

· Experience of organising and facilitating meetings and events (virtual and F2F)

· Experience of working in a diverse and complex organization

· Experience of working in a training and education environment within the NHS

· Experience of collating complex information from several database sources and presenting it in a simplified manner

· Knowledge and understanding of the NHS training pathways for doctors
