Crynodeb
The post holder will be professionally responsible and accountable to the Controlled Drugs Accountable Officer (CDAO) They will have strong working relationships with colleagues in the Controlled Drugs Accountable Officer function and across the health economy in South West England. They will assist the CDAO when necessary and contribute to delivering the statutory function successfully. Those responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Managing and reviewing incidents and/or concerns relating to controlled drugs across the health and social care economy and ensuring action is taken as appropriate; Managing and reviewing quarterly controlled drugs occurrence reports from designated bodies and acting as appropriate; Developing and facilitating the Local Intelligence Network as required; Managing the process for the destruction of controlled drugs in primary care providers; Managing the monitoring of the safe management and use of controlled drugs in the South West England health and social care economy; and Deputising for the Controlled Drugs Accountable Officer where necessary.
