Summary

We are recruiting a Business Improvement District (BID) Support Officer to join us at Public Sector Partnership Services.



PSPS are looking for a dedicated and proactive individual to join our Revenues and Benefits service, to help implement and administer the BID levy on businesses in a designated geographic area on behalf of one of our client councils. The BID levy is an operating agreement between South Holland District Council and the BID company.



Working as part of the Business Rates team, and alongside Finance colleagues, you will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of records, billing, collection and recovery of the BID Levy for around 450 properties, and for meeting reporting requirements.



You will be based at Horncastle with occasional travel to other PSPS/client council offices in Spalding and Boston, and to other locations including court hearings will be required.



Typical duties could be:

Accurate and timely updating of BID Levy customer records and accounts
Dealing with customers on the phone, and in writing
Carrying out reconciliation of financial transactions
Negotiating payments and deciding course of recovery action

Accurate and attention to detail
Extensive data and financial management skills
Ability to manage workload effectively and accurately to meet deadlines.
