The Ministry of Defence employs over 50,000 Civil Servants. Within that, the Army Top Level Budget (TLB) employs around 7,000 MOD Civil Servants located at over 300 locations. Ours is a diverse workforce, with roles ranging from trainers, human resources, teachers, firefighters and psychologists to storekeepers, financiers, project and programme managers, and policy secretariat staff. There are many different functions and professions delivering key outputs for the Army.
The Army Digital Services (ADS) organisation is part of the Information Exploitation (IX) Department which is part of the Directorate of Information within Army Headquarters. ADS is the Army's IX supplier of choice for the design, development and support of applications and services to provide digital enablement of the Army's processes. It therefore supports the Army’s ambitious and innovative modernisation and transformation agenda.
ADS enables this digital transformation by developing bespoke software, hosting applications, including the Army Data Warehouse, and conducting data analytics.
As a member of the ADS, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of service operations within ADS. This role involves ensuring the efficient delivery of support to customers and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction. The Service Operations Manager also plays a key role in implementing and improving service processes and procedures.
