Summary

*Job Title*: Youth Pastor

*Department*: Youth Ministry

*Reports To*: Mission Director

*Position Summary*:
The Youth Pastor is responsible for the spiritual development and pastoral care of the youth within the church community. This role involves planning, leading, and implementing programs, activities, and events that foster spiritual growth, fellowship, and service among the youth.

*Key Responsibilities*:

1. *Spiritual Leadership*:
- Provide biblical teaching and spiritual guidance through regular youth group meetings, Bible studies, and Sunday school classes.
- Prepare and deliver sermons tailored to the youth.
- Offer pastoral care, including counselling and mentoring, to address the spiritual and personal needs of youth.

2. *Program Development and Implementation*:
- Develop, coordinate, and oversee all aspects of the youth ministry program.
- Plan and lead youth events such as retreats, mission trips, service projects, and social activities.
- Create and manage a yearly calendar of youth activities.

3. *Volunteer Coordination*:
- Recruit, train, and supervise volunteer leaders to assist with youth programs and events.
- Provide support and resources to volunteers, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment.

4. *Community Engagement*:
- Foster relationships with parents, families, and the broader church community to support the youth ministry.
- Encourage youth participation in the life and mission of the church.
- Build partnerships with local schools and community organizations.

5. *Administration*:
- Develop and manage the youth ministry budget.
- Maintain records of youth participation and program outcomes.
- Communicate regularly with parents and the congregation about youth ministry activities and opportunities.

6. *Professional Development*:
- Stay current with trends and best practices in youth ministry.
- Attend conferences, workshops, and other training opportunities.

*Qualifications*:

- *Education*: Degree is not mandatory
- *Experience*: Previous experience in youth ministry or a related field.
- *Skills*:
- Strong biblical knowledge and theological grounding.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to relate to and engage youth from diverse backgrounds.
- Organizational and leadership abilities.
- Proficiency in using technology and social media for ministry purposes.
