You will work closely in a small, dynamic team where we will look to you to design, deliver, support and evaluate functional learning solutions, focusing on the Drivers Medical department, based in Birmingham.
You will also serve the wider directorate of all Operations Customer Service Directorate (OCSD) business areas. This is the largest directorate within DVLA with over 4,000 staff. You will be responsible for delivering a best in class service to stakeholders across OCSD.
Acting as a subject matter expert, this role will help to either start or further your career within a Learning and Development environment.
This is a fantastic opportunity to professionalise the learning experience for staff where you will have the ability to help shape new ways of working digitally. The OCSD Functional Learning team is an exciting team to be a part of which will also offer you exposure to a wide range of stakeholders enabling you to build relationships across DVLA.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Designing and updating blended learning material in line with CIPD best practice.
- Facilitating functional learning solutions to business areas.
- Supporting and mentoring Learner Support to coach, monitor progress and support learning solutions.
- Evaluating and updating learning solutions based on Kirkpatrick’s 5 Levels.
- When required, working with OCSD Leadership & Development team to support the facilitation of leadership and development requirements at Birmingham including ODP and Value ME activities.
- Working in partnership with leaders in the business, to ensure learning solutions are robust and meet the needs of the business.

Some travel may be required to our HQ based in Swansea, however you will be notified in advance.
