Ambassadors Resourcing is looking to recruit full time temporary short-term and long-term Learning Support Practitioners to support teachers in special educational needs schools in Birmingham and the surrounding areas. The successful candidates will be helping to shape the learning journeys of children with additional needs, including autism, ADHD and specific communication difficulties.
Job Description:
• The successful Learning Support Practitioners will:
• Have a passion and commitment to supporting children who have SEN
• Have strong communication skills and a desire to work within high performing
teams
• A willingness to learn, with the ability to use own initiative while supporting and
assisting teaching staff in every respect
• Support and encourage the children to be motivated, happy, stimulated and
excited to learn
• Encourage independence, helping the children with transition around school
and personal care
• Actively promote & support the safeguarding of children at all times and ensure
that all policies and procedures of the schools and Ambassadors Resourcing
are observed and responsibilities are understood
Requirements:
Essential
• Acquisition of an enhanced DBS and Overseas Police Clearances (If
applicable)
• Have experience and knowledge of working with pupils with autism and SEN
• Have a legal right to work in the UK
• Provide 2 references covering the last 2 years, including one from a
professional childcare and education organisation that will be checked as part
of Ambassadors Resourcing safer recruitment process
• Will be subject to Check a Teacher’s Record and an online search as part of
Ambassadors Resourcing due diligence process
Preferable
• An NVQ Level 2 or the equivalent in Childcare & Education
