Salary: £32,215 per annum (£35,607 per annum is achieved after 12 months successful performance in the role)

The difference you will make as a Tax & Treasury Accountant Assistant

The Tax and Treasury Accounting Assistant is a finance professional reporting to the Group Tax Manager. First and foremost, the role will support the Group Tax Manager in the collation of accounting information for the Group tax returns and the preparation of those returns, especially VAT. However, as tax work is cyclical in nature, the role will also offer support to the Treasury Accountant when time permits.

This role requires to job holder to travel and work at least once a month for 1-2 days per month in the Riverside Offices in Speke, Liverpool and / or Camden, London.

About you

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Demonstrable knowledge of transactional accounting or double entry bookkeeping to trial balance level or part qualified / studying accountant.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of technical accounting skills.
  • Significant IT literacy, particularly strong demonstrable Excel skills; must be comfortable manipulating data to produce high quality reports and also be able to present and interpret reports when called upon so to do.
  • Previous experience downloading reports from financial accounting software packages (preferably SUN and / or Oracle) and knowledge as to how to create new reports.
