Weston College is the regional provider for the Prison Education Framework (PEF) across the South West of England and is now seeking to recruit an outstanding and highly motivated LLRC (Library and Learning Resource Centre) Facilitator?

This role is part-time, working 29.6 working per week.

Day to day duties

Develop positive working relationships and liaise regularly with curriculum staff, HMPPS and other partners ensuring that the LLRC meets the needs of the prison population.

Work collaboratively with the curriculum team to embed the use of the LLRC within teaching, learning and assessment.

Extend learning and literacy beyond the classroom by working with the curriculum team and partners to develop, implement and support reading and learning experiences across the prison.

Required skills and qualifications

Good level of technical ability and competent user of technology.

Good interpersonal and communication skills.

Strong organisation and time management skills.

About HMP Dartmoor

Located in Devon, HMP Dartmoor is a Category C men's prison which is owned by the Duchy of Cornwall and operated by His Majesty's Prison Service. NVQ or City & Guilds Vocational training is provided, including courses in brickwork, plastering and painting and decorating. Other courses offered include art, foundation cookery and functional skills. Residents can also pursue education, from basic skills to Open University courses. Dartmoor Prison emphasizes rehabilitation through various offending behaviour programs. It offers a unique, dynamic and rewarding environment for individuals to work and make a difference in the lives of others.
