Job Description

Requirements

As one of the largest services provided by the Council and the South Lanarkshire Health and Social Care Partnership, the Care at Home service plays a critical role in enabling individuals to remain at home in a way that promotes their wellbeing, dignity, privacy, respect and personal choices.

South Lanarkshire Council’s Community Alarm service provides essential round the clock support to over 9,000 service users, with over 60 response staff providing support visits when required.

The service is embarking on an exciting programme of transformation, this includes the redesign of the management and support arrangement that support our responders and oversee the operations and development of services.

Responsibilities

To support this work, we are looking to appoint a Community Support Co-ordinator (Alert) to assist in the management of the response service. This is a permanent post aligned to our locality team in Cambuslang. The successful candidate will be required to work and support the Alert Home Service across all four localities within South Lanarkshire – Cambuslang & Rutherglen, Hamilton, East Kilbride, and Clydesdale.

The successful candidate will be required to assist the Team Leader and Operations Manager in the effective management and development of Alert services; be responsible for ensuring the effective use of resources and ensure that services operate to specified standards.

It is essential that applicant possess a recognised qualification in social care to meet the requirements of SSSC registration for Supervisor in Care at Home and Housing Support. You will be required to be fully registered with SSSC within 6 months of commencing this post.
