Housing Services deliver a range of quality services to over 25,000 tenants and other customers within the South Lanarkshire area. Our local housing and central support teams provide a wide range of services directly and in partnership with others.
An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Central Homeless Service for a Homelessness Co-ordinator to work in a highly motivated team delivering a range of services including: Housing and Homelessness Advice and Assistance, Service Development, Quality Assurance and supporting delivery of excellent homeless services delivered via local housing teams.
Do you have:
- experience of delivering homelessness or housing services, initiatives or programmes
detailed knowledge of the policy and practice context in relation to homelessness
experience of working collaboratively with housing, health and homeless partners
the skills and experience necessary to implement and maintain performance management reporting
experience of developing and implementing homeless strategies
If you consider you have the required knowledge and skills to contribute to our successful team and can assist with delivery of positive outcomes we would love to hear from you.
You will be a self-motivated and confident professional with a proven track record in delivering results. You will be required to demonstrate an up-to-date knowledge of housing and homelessness policy and practice and you will preferably be qualified to HNC, HND or Degree level.

The preferred candidate will have the opportunity to operate on an agile basis with home and base working possible. South Lanarkshire Council’s Housing Service is also piloting condensed 4 day working on a test basis which will be available to the successful candidate during the test period.
