Anticoagulation Nurse

Same Day Emergency Care

Band 6 £35,392 -£42,618 per annum pro rata

Hours: Part Time 22.5 hours per week, all MKUH roles will be considered for flexible working

We are looking for an experienced and motivated nurse to join our dedicated and established Veno-thromboembolism (VTE) team which provides seamless outpatient management of patient with deep vein thrombosis and patients with pulmonary embolism.

The team closely work with Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC) Unit who provides same day emergency care service and Anticoagulant Bridging clinic who provides pre- surgical advice and management on different antiplatelets used by these patients.

The post holder will run the nurse-led VTE clinic with the support of Anticoagulation Pharmacist as well as the weekly multidisciplinary meeting led by the Consultant Haematologist and /or Acute Physician.

To facilitate and provide expert high quality specialist nursing care to all patients diagnosed with Pulmonary Embolism and Deep Vein Thrombosis and provide the pre-procedural anticoagulation clinics for elective procedures within Milton Keynes University Hospital Foundation Trust.
