Pinnacle Group provides people-first, integrated services across a range of community-facing assets and infrastructure –including multi-tenure housing, schools, open spaces, public buildings, utilities and broadband networks –as well as a range of complementary employment and wellbeing outcomes. Across the UK, Pinnacle supports over 300,000 homes, 200 schools and 80 public buildings creating value, providing stewardship and generating positive outcomes for our customers, our partners and our clients.

Our Homes business serves communities by providing trusted housing management solutions. We take a collaborative and commercially minded, yet socially principled approach across our portfolio of Affordable, Private Rented and Leasehold properties.

The National Accommodation Management Services (NAMS) contract for the Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO) went live in April 2022, providing housing management services to 49,000 homes and the military families who live in them. It is one part of the set of contracts that together form DIO’s FDIS (Future Defence Infrastructure Services) Accommodation contracts.

The Role - Divisional Director

The Divisional Director is a senior role, accountable to the Homes Managing Director and Group Board, for our flagship contract. You will oversee all aspects of contract delivery, including leading our 440-strong staff team, National Service Centre (NSC), and UK-wide field force. We are looking for an accomplished leader with expertise in complex contract delivery, a solutions-focused approach, and a commitment to delivering the highest standards of customer service. As the contract is delivered nationally, the right candidate can be based anywhere in the UK, with frequent travel to the NSC in Liverpool and the Group's Head Office in London.

You will have a track record of inspiring teams to reach their potential, ensuring we achieve our ambition of being the "best in class" and fulfilling our commitment to FDIS Accommodation. We welcome applicants from a broad range of different backgrounds including housing, the military or from an outsourced provider. These are just some examples but what will be evident, is your reputation for excellence in your field and will strive for nothing less here.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strong and effective leadership for all aspects of contract delivery, including operations, stakeholder engagement, contract development, and support functions.
• Inspire the Senior Leadership Team to reach their full potential, instilling a positive, can-do attitude and ensuring that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.
• Foster an open, honest, inclusive, and challenging culture that supports individuals in maximising their contribution.
• Maintain a strong conceptual understanding of the FDIS vision and Pinnacle's role in the contract structure, ensuring clarity on our responsibilities and our commitment to families first.
• Ensure that the NAMS service is continuously challenged and developed, positioning Pinnacle as the "natural choice" when the contract is up for renewal.
• Proactively identify and pursue opportunities to expand the contract scope and solidify Pinnacle's position as a trusted partner of DIO.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to develop best practises and innovative ways of working, drawing inspiration from examples of service delivery in other sectors.
• Establish and maintain effective relationships with counterparts in partner organisations and the wider stakeholder landscape.
• Oversee supply chain partners at a senior level.
• Take responsibility for the financial, commercial, and operational performance of the contract, managing the budgeting process, performance regime, and associated reporting.

Required Skills

• Outstanding leadership credentials, with the ability to adapt to different management and social styles as needed.
• Demonstrable experience in a similar high-profile role.
• Excellent people management skills, including providing a clear sense of direction to the team, inspiring others, and maintaining focus on critical business objectives.
• Highly effective communication skills, with the ability to convey key messages clearly, precisely, and cohesively, speaking and presenting with authority and conviction.
• Strong analytical skills and sound judgement, quickly grasping and interpreting complex issues and problems and providing rational responses.
• Agility, curiosity, and a willingness to learn and apply new ideas and concepts.
• Highly proficient in working at both a detailed and a big-picture level.
• Experience working with outsourced providers, with the gravitas and broad knowledge to achieve desired results.
• Able to inspire confidence in the Pinnacle Group board.
• Resilient and positive in a demanding and evolving environment, with the ability to deliver results under pressure and within tight deadlines.

Pinnacle Group strives to be an equal opportunities employer and welcomes applications from anyone regardless of ethnic origin, gender, disability, age, trade union activity, marital status, religious belief or sexual orientation.

We are Armed Forces friendly. We welcome applications from ex-Armed Forces personnel, reservists, armed forces veterans, cadet instructors and military spouses/partners.
