(0.8 WTE) Maternity Cover Clinical Lead SLT
We are pleased to offer a fixed term temporary maternity cover post, working within the Neurodevelopmental Specialist Service (NeSS) in Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.
The successful candidate will join the well-established and respected Specialist Speech and Language Therapy Service within Nottinghamshire Healthcare Foundation Trust.
You will be well supported by senior colleagues, with opportunities for peer support. You will enjoy close links with our team and our SLT colleagues within the East Midlands, and benefit from excellent levels of support, supervision, IT and CPD opportunities.
The Neurodevelopmental Specialist Service delivers a autism and ADHD diagnostic pathway for adults in the Nottingham and Nottinghamshire area. You will contribute to the delivery of this pathway, as well as being involved in strategic leadership of the speech and language therapy provision within NeSS.
The role is based in Nottingham (Highbury Hospital), working in a clinic based model, with opportunity for some remote and flexible working.
The post holder will be providing a clinical leadership to the Speech & Language Therapists working in the Neurodevelopmental Specialist Service, and delivering direct assessment and interventions with clients.
Duties include:
· Clinical supervision and support
· Strategic leadership and clinical governance support.
· Representation at appropriate forums across Nottinghamshire NHS Foundation Trust and other stakeholders.
· Contributing to multi-disciplinary autism diagnostic assessments
· Delivering direct SLT assessments and interventions to clients on a 1:1 basis, as well as a consultative approach.
· Second opinion on clinical needs for complex cases.
· Delivering training to others

• To deliver professional supervision and guidance for SLTs working in NeSS.
• To lead and coordinate the SLT clinical pathway within the neurodevelopmental service for adults in Nottingham/Nottinghamshire.
• Inform and advise Heads of services/professions as to learning, resources, trends, and development needs of services for population.
• To contribute and develop the development of Directorate wide clinical strategies based on professional expertise including providing advice, recommendations and learning and development
• To represent the profession and forums as required.
• To represent the NeSS SLT service at agreed forums as appropriate
