We are looking for a Site Maintenance & Support Person for 32 hours per week who will take pride in maintaining our Federation to ensure a welcoming and safe environment where all our children can learn. We are looking for someone who is proactive, with a good sense of humour, integrity, good time keeping and who can remain calm under pressure to join our dedicated and friendly staffing team.
The successful candidate will be:
Skilled in a variety of areas including general building and grounds maintenance
Have the ability to perform planned preventative maintenance, reactive maintenance & minor works on a supervised and unsupervised basis
Be able to work efficiently in a busy environment and use their own initiative to solve work related problems effectively
Have excellent communication and organisational skills
Support the Federations ethos and values
Be a team player with a ‘can do’ approach
Basic understanding of Health & Safety
You will work closely with, and report directly to the Federation Business Manager to continuously maintain and help develop the site to its full potential.
Previous relevant experience is desired. You will receive a site induction and ongoing training will be provided if necessary. A full range of tools are provided by the Federation.
Routine maintenance to meet the needs of the school will form the main part of this role and ensuring all areas are compliant with health and safety requirements.
Ideally you will hold a full driving license and have some practical maintenance work experience. Please note that it is not essential to have previously undertaken the role of site maintenance in a school as a full induction and school training will be provided.
