Summary
Cradlefin Consultants are recruiting for General Operatives – Grounds Maintenance to work in Hampshire covering Andover and Romsey working Mondays to Fridays. Rate: £13.28 per hour.
Job Responsibilities:
1. To undertake work activities such as domestic bin emptying, litter bin emptying or grass cutting in accordance with the Council’s standards
2. Use of basic tools such as bin bag, litter picker, push mower, pedestrian sweeper, broom, strimmer etc. to perform tasks
3. To act as a reversing assistant for colleagues in vehicles as and when requested
4. To issue information tags and complete any relevant records or logs (paper based or digital) in a timely manner as reasonably requested
5. To act as an ambassador for the Council while carrying out tasks and duties
6. To work with colleagues or in teams as required ensuring commitments of the service are met
Person Specifications:
1. Ability to work alone for long periods in working day, or as part of a team
2. Flexibility to undertake different tasks in various locations from day to day
3. Ability to establish a good working relationship with a range of people
4. Good oral and written English communication skills
5. Ability to work in physically demanding job
6. Enthusiastic and self-motivated
7. Relate well to the public
8. Good self-presentation
9. Able and willing to take individual responsibility for work and daily priorities
10. Able to work as a team member
11. Diplomatic and tactful
12. Able to use own initiative
13. Willing to undertake outdoor work in all weathers
