Ready to develop your skills and pursue a career in renal and specialist medicine? We have the perfect role at the NCA based at Salford Royal.

Join our nationally recognised renal pharmacy team where you will be supported in delivering clinical pharmacy services. We offer variety within the role including both in and out-patient working, day case, Consultant ward rounds and MDT meetings plus off-site dialysis units.

Both our renal and pharmacy departments encourage research and development across the spectrum and we work closely with primary care teams.

Depending on experience and training you will have a role in the both MDT and pharmacist led renal clinics, prescribing and optimising complex medicines. You will also play a role in teaching, training and development of the pharmacy team and other health care professionals and undergraduates.

As a specialist pharmacist prescriber you will use your skills to provide all aspects of medicines optimisation for renal and other medical patients.

Your day will be varied working with the multidisciplinary team across in-patient wards, day case, outpatient clinics and renal units.

Provide medicines related advice to health care professionals and patients.

Prescribe screen and review home care prescriptions for transplant and anaemia management.

Participate in MDT clinics where you will provide drug education and counselling , monitor and review and prescribe where appropriate.

You will have a key role in assurance and governance undertaking audits and reviews and working collaboratively to write guidelines to support medicines optimisation and patient safety.

You will be supported to develop your research skills and capability.

You will support the general pharmacy department activities and use your leadership and mentoring skills to encourage and develop others.
