Planning Lawyer (PO3 to PO5)

Description
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Planning Lawyer to join our team. As a Planning Lawyer, you will play a vital role in providing legal advice and support in matters related to planning law and regulations. Working closely with clients and stakeholders, you will be responsible for analyzing complex legal issues, providing guidance, and representing clients in planning and development matters.

Responsibilities
Advising clients on planning law and regulations, including land use, zoning, subdivisions, and environmental impact assessments.
Conducting legal research and analyzing statutes, regulations, case law, and other legal materials to provide accurate and current advice.
Drafting and reviewing legal documents, including applications, contracts, agreements, and legal opinions.
Representing clients in planning hearings, appeals, and other legal proceedings.
Negotiating with stakeholders, such as local government officials, community groups, and developers, to ensure compliance with planning regulations and achieve desired outcomes.
Collaborating with colleagues, including other lawyers, planners, and consultants, to provide comprehensive and integrated legal and planning advice.
Keeping abreast of changes in planning law and regulations and providing updates and training to clients and colleagues as needed.
Requirements
A degree in Law and a valid license to practice as a Lawyer.
Extensive knowledge and experience in planning law and regulations, including familiarity with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to effectively interpret and apply complex legal principles to planning matters.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to convey legal concepts and arguments clearly and persuasively.
Good organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Attention to detail and strong drafting skills, with the ability to prepare accurate and well-structured legal documents.
Sound judgment and a high level of professionalism, with the ability to effectively represent clients and build relationships with stakeholders.
