Principal Conservation Officer (PO3)

Description
As a Principal Conservation Officer (PO3) in the Facilities Services industry, you will play a vital role in maintaining and improving conservation efforts within our organization. You will be responsible for overseeing and implementing conservation programs aimed at reducing waste, increasing energy efficiency, and promoting sustainable practices. Your expertise in conservation practices and knowledge of environmental regulations will be essential in ensuring our organization meets its sustainability goals.

Responsibilities
Develop and implement conservation programs, including waste reduction, recycling, and energy efficiency initiatives
Conduct regular audits of facilities to identify areas for improvement in conservation practices
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement sustainable procurement guidelines and practices
Provide training and education to staff on conservation practices and the importance of sustainability
Monitor and analyze data related to energy consumption, water usage, and waste production to identify areas for improvement
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in conservation to ensure our organization remains at the forefront of sustainability efforts
Work with external partners and stakeholders to develop and implement conservation projects and initiatives
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or a related field
Proven experience and expertise in conservation practices and environmental regulations
Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data related to energy consumption, water usage, and waste production
Excellent project management skills, with the ability to effectively manage multiple conservation projects simultaneously
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and engage staff in conservation efforts
Knowledge of sustainable procurement practices and guidelines
Familiarity with environmental certifications and standards, such as LEED or BREEAM
