Join us as a Security Operations Manager
- We’ll look to you to lead the team to make sure they are fully compliant and protected from security vulnerabilities
- You’ll be building and executing a security strategy and roadmap for how security delivers outcomes to improve the protection of the business from credible threats

What you'll do
In this key role, you and your team will be covering all areas of security monitoring and incident response for NatWest Boxed and Mettle. You'll be supporting them in their career growth and working on continuous improvement of operational processes.
Additionally, you’ll be:
- Leading our monitoring and response enhancements with a focus on automation where possible
- Regularly reviewing and documenting the challenges in our SOC operations to efficiently reduce alert fatigue and improve our monitoring and detection
- Enhancing our utilisation threat intelligence and proactively hunting for threats within our environments
- Building security operations reporting capabilities
- Making sure that we have the right skills across the team to detect and respond to incidents across our bank
- Communicating with key stakeholders and major business clients
The skills you'll need
To succeed in this role, you’ll need experience of managing technical security teams in a senior leadership capacity, coupled with a passion for building an excellent security operations function. You'll also need familiarity with investigations of events in tech stacks such as GCP and AWS Cloud, Kubernetes and its application.
You’ll also demonstrate:
- The ability to remain calm and balanced in times of crisis
- The ability to work in fast paced environments
- Great written and verbal communication skills
- Experience of dealing with major incidents
- Knowledge of mac-OS and Unix
