Brief job description:
Booking in/out of goods/materials, processing, sorting, shaping/sizing, packing and dispatching of finished goods.
Apprentices will be trained on an extensive range of machinery and plant using a multitude of processing equipment such as shears, FLT, guillotines, bandsaws, shot blasters, shredders and where applicable chemical cleanings of turnings.
Skills required: Knowledge of metals industry would be preferred
Qualities required: Good communicator/team member
Qualifications desired: Maths, English and science GCSE level 4/5 and above
Future Prospects: This is a permanent position within the company not just an apprenticeship
Possible progression onto Team Leader level 3 or Warehouse Operative level 3.
Working week: 40 hours per week, Start times agreed. Monday to Friday 8.5 hours which includes 30 minutes unpaid lunch break.
