What skills and experience we're looking for
We are seeking a highly motivated and excellent teacher to join our successful ASC Resource Base, Hilary House, within our inclusive mainstream primary school.
Hilary House caters for 20 children with an autism diagnosis and provides a nurturing, structured and aspirational environment where every child is supported to thrive.
The successful applicant will be:
• A passionate, creative and accomplished practitioner, committed to inclusive education.
• inspirational and highly effective in the classroom;
• Experienced in teaching pupils with ASC in the primary phase (preferred).
• Skilled in planning and delivering effective, engaging learning opportunities tailored to individual needs.
• Confident in managing a small team of support staff to ensure high-quality provision.
• Able to work closely with mainstream colleagues to facilitate smooth integration for children into lessons across the school.
• Have experience of teaching phonics successfully (preferably Little Wandle)
• Be a reflective practitioner who is committed to continuous professional development and improvement;
• Be a collaborative, committed team player with a sense of humour, creativity, and energy.
All shortlisted candidates will be observed teaching.
