Housed in a carefully converted building specifically designed with children in mind, our client's Good Ofsted-rated nursery is a place where happiness and learning sit at the heart of everything. Blending adult-led activities with child-initiated play to create a rich, balanced environment where curiosity is encouraged and every child feels at home.
They are now looking for a warm and experienced Room Leader to take the lead in their Babies and Young Toddler Room - someone who understands the unique needs of this precious age group and has the passion and skill to create a nurturing, stimulating space where little ones feel truly safe and settled.
What Our Client Is Looking For
- Level 3 Early Years qualification - essential
- Previous Room Leader or Senior Practitioner experience within a nursery setting
- A deep understanding of EYFS and the specific developmental needs of the youngest children
- Naturally warm, patient, and nurturing with a genuine love for this age group
- Reliable, enthusiastic, and a strong team player

Key Responsibilities
- Leading the day-to-day running of the Babies and Young Toddler Room with warmth, consistency, and confidence
- Planning and delivering rich, age-appropriate activities that blend adult-led learning with child-initiated play
- Supporting the emotional security and development of babies and young toddlers through strong key person relationships
- Observing and documenting children's learning and development, sharing progress meaningfully with families
- Mentoring and supporting room-based staff, acting as a positive and consistent role model
- Contributing to the wider nursery team and upholding the setting's high standards of practice
