Summary

Room Leader – Babies & Young Toddler Room


Up to £31,200 per annum | Full-Time, 40 hours per week | Ofsted Good Rated



Housed in a carefully converted building specifically designed with children in mind, our client's Good Ofsted-rated nursery is a place where happiness and learning sit at the heart of everything. Blending adult-led activities with child-initiated play to create a rich, balanced environment where curiosity is encouraged and every child feels at home.



They are now looking for a warm and experienced Room Leader to take the lead in their Babies and Young Toddler Room - someone who understands the unique needs of this precious age group and has the passion and skill to create a nurturing, stimulating space where little ones feel truly safe and settled.



What Our Client Is Looking For



  • Level 3 Early Years qualification - essential

  • Previous Room Leader or Senior Practitioner experience within a nursery setting

  • A deep understanding of EYFS and the specific developmental needs of the youngest children

  • Naturally warm, patient, and nurturing with a genuine love for this age group

  • Reliable, enthusiastic, and a strong team player

Key Responsibilities



  • Leading the day-to-day running of the Babies and Young Toddler Room with warmth, consistency, and confidence

  • Planning and delivering rich, age-appropriate activities that blend adult-led learning with child-initiated play

  • Supporting the emotional security and development of babies and young toddlers through strong key person relationships

  • Observing and documenting children's learning and development, sharing progress meaningfully with families

  • Mentoring and supporting room-based staff, acting as a positive and consistent role model

  • Contributing to the wider nursery team and upholding the setting's high standards of practice
