We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our Radiotherapy family as a Patient Access Coordinator.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a fast paced team. Successful candidates should ideally have previous NHS or customer service experience, with a proven record of working well both within a team and individually.
Please note the department's service hours are between 8am-8pm with all administration staff required to rotate through late shifts. Bank holiday and weekend working also take place as required in line with the department and service operational needs.

The Patient Access Co-ordinator will be the first point of contact for patients and service users providing an in depth knowledge of radiotherapy scheduling procedures.
The Patient Access Co-ordinator will liaise closely with the clinical team and speciality management teams to ensure patients receive timely and appropriate appointments according to their care pathway.
The post holder will be required to rotate within the team, providing reception cover, scheduling functions, general administrative support and telephone cover for patients needing to access the radiotherapy services. This will ensure that at every contact with the Trust, patients are able to speak to staff who understand their scheduling needs and that clinical teams are always supported by knowledgeable administrative staff.
The Radiotherapy Service serves a catchment population of approximately 1.6 million and is the provider of radiotherapy for the six London boroughs – Bexley, Bromley, Greenwich, Lambeth, Lewisham and Southwark. The service also receives national referrals from St John’s Skin Clinic based here at GSTT, and works in closest collaboration with colleagues at King’s College NHS Foundation Trust, Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust and Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust.
The successful candidate will need to have excellent customer service skills, accuracy, attention to detail, ability to multi task and use initiative in a busy environment supporting a range of teams.
The role requires the ability to liaise with all disciplines of staff i.e. Directorate Managers, Consultants, Nurses and administrative colleagues, work well as part of a team, be professional and personable at all times.
The post holder must be IT literate and have the ability to navigate trust IT systems and should have some understanding of National cancer waiting targets.
The ideal candidate will be flexible with working days and hours to meet the needs of the service.
