Contribute to the provision of a high-quality child health service. Work collaboratively within the team and with primary and community carecolleagues to deliver local and national health objectives. Work with the team to undertake workload planning and delegation of work to otherteam members, taking into account competency levels. Undertake holistic assessments of children / young people and families in line withlocal and national guidelines. Support the team to develop new ways of working to provide a responsive serviceto children and young people. Support and empathise with children, young people and families in time of need. Support the team to develop multi-agency partnerships and joint working to facilitate public health objectives in line with the Trusts objectives. Work within a public health competency framework to address public healthpriorities and health inequalities. Participate in the mentorship and assessment of a range of learners and in thepreceptorship and support of new colleagues. Maintain stock as required. Clinical Responsibilities Attend mandatory training, core training and training that will enhance practice. Provide clinical support and knowledge to new staff. Act as an advocate and champion for children, young people and their families. Undertake holistic assessments of children and families in line with local andnational guidelines, to identify need. Work within guidelines to identify and manage risk, reporting identified risks to thecaseload holders. Work with the caseload holders to develop individualised care plans to meet need,with the involvement and consent of children and young people, carers and otheragencies as required. Administer medicines in line with trust policies and procedures. Use additional equipment the child / young person may require on a daily basis, orin an emergency. Undertake or direct child health promotion reviews for the assessment of paediatricdevelopment in accordance with the Child Health Promotion programme and Trustguidelines. Adhere to infection control policies, giving advice to other clinical and non-clinicalstaff, parents and carers regarding cross-infection and infection control. Establish and maintain effective channels of communication to facilitatepartnership working. Participate in the health needs assessment of children and young people to identifyareas of unmet need. Work in collaboration with other agencies, according to Trust policy with regard toSafeguarding Children procedures. Attend court proceedings and provide written reports when necessary. Identify needs and prioritise work appropriately. Maintain appropriate records and returns, both written and computerised. Complete Routine Outcome Measures (ROMs) as part of clinical duties/work andensure ROMs are reviewed as a regular part of both managerial and clinicalsupervision discussions.
