About the role
Are you a compassionate, dedicated individual with a passion for supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)? We are seeking an enthusiastic SEND Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant and inclusive primary school community in Sheffield.
Source Supply are recruiting for a large, multicultural primary school where diversity is celebrated and every child is valued. The school pride themselves on fostering a nurturing environment where pupils from a wide range of backgrounds can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers and the SENDCo to support pupils with additional needs. This may include working one-to-one or with small groups, adapting learning activities, and helping to create an inclusive classroom environment where all children can succeed.
Requirements
Salary is dependent on experience, qualifications and training. All successful applicants will:
- Experience in working with children in a school or specialist setting
- A nurturing, patient and consistent approach
- Have referenceable experience working in a school setting.
- Be passionate about education, with a desire to help young people thrive.
- Be an excellent communicator with a positive, can-do attitude.
- Ideally hold a full, clean driving licence and have access to vehicle.
