National Installation Trainer
Shape standards. Develop people. Make a national impact.
We’re looking for a National Installation Trainer to play a key role in developing our installation teams across the UK. This is a
hands‑on, field‑based role where your experience really matters, working directly with installers, raising standards, and helping
teams deliver outstanding, safe installations every day.
If you enjoy coaching on the job, sharing your expertise, and seeing people grow in confidence and capability, this is a role
where you can genuinely make a difference.
You’ll travel between depots, working alongside installers and depot managers to deliver high‑quality training, embed best
practice, and ensure consistent installation standards nationwide.
What you’ll be doing
* Deliver structured induction and skills training for new installers and trainees
* Provide on‑site coaching and mentoring, focusing on real installations and practical improvement
* Observe installation work and give constructive, confidence‑building feedback
* Champion consistent standards across quality, safety, and customer experience
* Support depot managers in identifying and closing capability gaps
* Train teams on company systems, processes, and workflows
* Support the rollout of new systems, tools, and process updates
* Spot recurring issues and feed insights back to help drive continuous improvement
* Maintain training records, assessments, and the training matrix
About the travel
This is a national role, so regular travel to regional depots is part of the job, with occasional overnight stays. Rather than
being tied to one site, you’ll enjoy variety in your week, autonomy in how you operate, and the chance to build strong
relationships with teams across the business.
What we’re looking for
Essential
* Proven experience in appliance installation or a similar field‑based role
* Experience training, coaching, or mentoring others
* Strong understanding of installation best practice and health & safety
* Confident communicator who can adapt their style to different audiences
* Ability to assess performance and identify development needs
* Comfortable using digital systems
* Full, clean driving licence
Desirable
* ACS Gas qualifications (CCN1, CKR1)
* Electrical certification
* LPG / park homes / LAV experience
* Experience auditing or quality‑checking installations
* Knowledge of building or gas regulations
Why this role is worth it
* A hands‑on role working in real installation environments — not classroom‑only training
* The opportunity to shape installer capability and national standards
* High visibility and real influence across the business
* A role that values experience, judgement, and practical know‑how
* Variety, independence, and purpose in your working week
Location
Based in Stevenage, with regular travel to regional depots across the UK (including occasional overnight stays).
