Primary SEN Teaching Assistant - South London - £100-£115 per day
We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join a primary school in South London.
This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils with additional needs and play a key role in their development both academically and socially.
The Role:
As a Primary SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be working closely with pupils on a 1:1 or small group basis, supporting children with a range of needs including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEN
- Support the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom management
- Implement strategies to support behaviour and engagement
- Adapt learning materials to meet individual needs
- Build strong, positive relationships with pupils
- Support pupils' emotional regulation and wellbeing
The Ideal Candidate:
- Experience working with children with SEN in a primary setting
- Patient, nurturing, and resilient approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to build rapport and engage pupils
- Passion for working in education
