We’re looking for a motivated and passionate Commis Chef to join our fast-paced gastro pub kitchen, where everything is built around fresh, seasonal ingredients and high-quality, from-scratch cooking.
This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to develop their skills in a professional, supportive environment while working on a varied menu that blends modern gastro pub classics with creative dishes.
What you’ll be doing:
- Assisting in the preparation and service of high-quality dishes
- Working across different sections of the kitchen, supporting senior chefs
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and food safety
- Contributing to a positive, efficient team environment during busy service
What we’re looking for:
- Some experience in a similar kitchen environment
- Solid knife skills and good kitchen organisation
- Strong communication and the ability to work under pressure
- Knowledge of basic cooking techniques, with some exposure to more advanced methods
- A genuine passion for fresh food and seasonal produce
Desirable (but not essential):
- Experience making fresh pizza dough and working with pizza ovens
Requirements:
- Up-to-date Food Hygiene Certificate
- Reliable transport or ability to commute to Collingham consistently
