To provide full scheduling support to the Ophthalmology Department for both inpatient and day case admissions Ensuring maximum us of available theatre capacity Liasing with patients or patient's carers and Consultants as necessary for optimal diagnosis / treatment Assess needs of individual patients and where appropriate rearranging patient combinations to maximise Consultant operating lists and co-ordinate joint cases with other specialties within the Trust Ensuring patients cancellations are managed in accordance with Trust Policy Communicating with various departments and services to ensure patients admission for surgery is seamless
