KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Spiritual Leadership & Teaching
Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate Bible teachings and lessons.
Develop curriculum aligned with the church’s doctrine and values.
Lead children’s church services, prayer sessions, and special programmes.
Encourage spiritual growth, discipleship, and Christian character development.
2. Safeguarding & Welfare
Ensure full compliance with UK safeguarding laws and church safeguarding policy.
Promote a safe, secure, and nurturing environment for all children.
Work with safeguarding officers to manage concerns appropriately.
Maintain accurate records in line with GDPR and safeguarding requirements.
3. Programme Development
Organise children’s events, holiday programmes, and outreach activities.
Develop initiatives to engage children and support their families.
Collaborate with other church departments for integrated ministry activities.
4. Administration
Maintain attendance records and reports on ministry activities.
Manage allocated budgets and resources responsibly.
Attend staff meetings and contribute to church planning.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Essential Requirements
A university graduate with relevant experience in children’s ministry or church leadership.
Must be a born-again Christian with a strong commitment to Christian values and lifestyle.
Sound knowledge of the Bible, Christian teachings, and the doctrines of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG).
Proven experience working with children in a structured and supervised environment.
Good understanding of safeguarding and child protection requirements in the United Kingdom.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children, parents, and church members.
Demonstrated ability to lead, organise, and manage volunteers effectively.
