Are you a compassionate and patient SEN Professional or Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding 1-to-1 role? We are seeking a dedicated individual to support a 3-year-old child with Special Educational Needs (SEN) at a setting in Welling (DA16). This role focuses on providing personalized support to help a child with developmental delays thrive in their early learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
1-to-1 Support: Provide dedicated support to a child with developmental delays, specifically focusing on Communication, Language, and Social/Emotional development.

Modeling Play: Actively engage and model play-based learning to encourage the child's interaction and engagement.

Speech & Language: Support the child’s communication journey (currently at 1–2 word stage) using creative and encouraging techniques.

Mealtime & Sensory Support: Assist during mealtimes, managing specific sensory needs around food with patience and care.

Behavior Management: Use gentle redirection and positive reinforcement to manage behavior and ensure a safe learning space.

Requirements (Keywords for SEO)
Experience: Proven experience working with children with SEN (Special Educational Needs), specifically Global Developmental Delay or Speech and Language needs.

Skills: Strong ability to model play, manage sensory triggers, and implement behavior redirection strategies.

Qualifications: Level 2 or Level 3 Childcare or Learning Support Assistant (LSA) qualification is preferred.

Attributes: Patient, nurturing, and reliable with a genuine interest in inclusive education.

Commute: Ability to reach DA16 3QU (Welling/Bexley) for the specified shift times.
