Job overview

This is a permanent part-time visiting care role supporting a 65-year-old client with dementia. The carer will provide personal care, medication management, household support and companionship within a family home environment where the client's sister also lives and works from home.

Key responsibilities
==========================
The carer will visit the client's home and:
• Manage and administer medicines
• Support hygiene and toileting needs
• Assist with eating and meal preparation
• Undertake household tasks including cleaning and laundry
• Provide friendly companionship and support
• Accompany the client on walks and outings as appropriate


About the client
==========================
AGE: 65
MEDICAL CONDITIONS: Dementia
Francesca requires support with toileting, medication and eating. She is mobile and enjoys going for walks.

Work environment
==========================
The client lives in a smoke-free home with pets. The role does not include pet care.
The client's sister lives in the home and works from home most days, providing additional support and availability.

Requirements
==========================
ESSENTIAL:
• Fluent spoken English
• Care Certificate qualification
• CQC mandatory training
• Experience working with dementia or Alzheimer's
• Experience with medication management and administering medicines to clients
• Comfortable working in a home environment where the client's sister also lives and works from home

DESIRABLE:
• Ability to cook occasionally or assist with meal preparation
