Crynodeb
The SemiSkilled Maintenance Assistant will assist and support Estates craft personnel in maintaining plant, equipment and associated services across Darlington Memorial Hospital and other SCLmaintained properties. Duties include supporting planned preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs, assisting with inspections and testing, and undertaking work of a semiskilled nature without direct supervision when appropriate. The role requires active participation in the Estates shift and oncall rota systems, ensuring essential services are maintained outside of normal working hours. The post holder will use electronic devices to receive and complete work instructions, record time and materials used, and complete reports and test documentation when required. You will work in a variety of hospital environments, including plant rooms and occupied clinical areas, requiring discretion, professionalism and sensitivity. Occasional overtime may be required, including emergency response activities such as snow clearing and gritting. Compliance with health and safety legislation, Trust policies and SCL procedures is essential at all times.
