Overall Purpose
To support the project construction and commercial team and work closely with the Operations Manager, Procurement Manager and Finance Director.
Duties and Responsibilities
-Support and manage the site/project based Quantity Surveyors.
-Dispute resolution with clients and suppliers (subcontractors etc.)
-Negotiation and preparation of complex contractual variations with clients.
-Review of monthly payment applications.
-Offer support to the project buyer team.
-Challenge site progress and cost to completion (CVR).
-Summary level reporting into board of directors on each project.
-Ensure EWN's are raised in line with contractual requirements.
-Ad-hoc commercial negotiations with clients.
-Monitoring completion of project milestones and ensuring milestones are raised in a timely manner.
-Provide contractual support to site Project Managers/QS team.
-Liaise with legal department to ensure subcontracts are in place as required.

· Relevant Degree
· Experience of leading team of Commercial staff across multiple projects
· 8+ years construction industry, preferably within utilities sector
· Commercial acumen with strong numeracy skills
· Ability to influence people at all levels of the organisation
· Stakeholder management
· Ability to challenge information presented
· Recognised membership of industry body (i.e. IET, RICS, CICES)
· Advanced excel user
· Knowledge of NEC3, IET, FIDIC or JCT contracts
· Experience of working for an ICP or Developer on a renewable energy construction site
· Experience dealing with blue chip companies
