Key Responsibilities:
-Assist the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene.
-Supervise, mentor, and support kitchen staff to maintain consistency and excellence.
-Help with the planning and preparation of menus, keeping seasonal ingredients and local produce in mind.
-Ensure smooth running of the kitchen during shifts, overseeing food preparation, and assisting in cooking where needed.
-Maintain inventory control, stock rotation, and ordering of supplies.
-Support the management of health and safety, food safety, and cleanliness standards.
What We're Looking For:
-Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role, preferably within a hotel or high-end restaurant.
-Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, food safety, and quality control.
-A creative, passionate approach to cooking and menu development.
-Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and train others.
-Good communication skills and a strong ability to work under pressure.
-A flexible, positive attitude and willingness to work weekends, evenings, and bank holidays.
