A well-established GP practice in Nottingham is seeking a compassionate, confident and clinically skilled Practice Nurse to join its friendly and supportive primary care team. This position offers stability, excellent clinical variety, and the opportunity to work within a cohesive surgery committed to high-quality patient care.

The Opportunity

This role is perfect for an experienced Practice Nurse or a nurse transitioning into primary care with relevant treatment-room experience. You will work closely with the wider clinical team to deliver safe, effective and patient-centred services within a busy yet supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

Treatment Room Duties

• Childhood & adult immunisations
  
• Cervical screening
  
• Wound care & suture removal
  
• Travel vaccinations
  
• Venepuncture
  
• B12, contraception & routine injections
  
• NHS Health Checks
  
• ECGs, urine testing & basic observations
  

  Chronic Disease Management

  • Asthma reviews
    
  • COPD reviews
    
  • Diabetes management
    
  • CHD monitoring
    

    Additional Duties

    • Maintain accurate clinical records
      
    • Support QOF and enhanced services
      
    • Contribute to infection control and treatment-room safety
      
    • Educate and support patients in health promotion
      

      What We’re Looking For

      • NMC-registered Nurse
        
      • Experience in General Practice is desirable, but strong treatment-room skills will also be considered
        
      • Confident in immunisations, screening and core nursing duties
        
      • Strong communication skills with a patient-centred approach
        
      • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
