Job Description:
We are excited to announce the opening of a new and inspiring nursery in Stourbridge, and we are looking for a passionate, experienced, and dedicated Early Years Practitioner to take on a Nursery Manager role. This is a unique opportunity to help shape a high-quality early years setting from the ground up.
About the Role
As Nursery Manager, you will lead the day-to-day running of the nursery, ensuring the highest standards of care, learning, and safeguarding for all children. You will play a key role in building a nurturing, stimulating, and inclusive environment for children, families, and staff.
Essential Qualifications & Requirements
Full and relevant Level 3 (or above) Early Years qualification
Ofsted-recognised / approved qualification (meeting EYFS and childcare regulations)
Proven experience in a leadership or managerial role within an early years setting
Strong knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
Up-to-date Safeguarding and Child Protection training
Paediatric First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
Excellent understanding of Ofsted standards, inspections, and compliance requirements
Key Skills & Qualities
Inspirational leadership and team management skills
Strong organisational and administrative abilities
Passion for delivering outstanding early years education and care
Excellent communication skills with children, parents, and staff
Ability to create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment
Commitment to continuous improvement and high-quality practice
Confidence in handling Ofsted inspections and maintaining compliance
Empathetic, approachable, and supportive leadership style
Responsibilities
Lead, motivate, and support a team of early years practitioners
Ensure full compliance with EYFS, safeguarding, and Ofsted requirements
Oversee planning and delivery of engaging, developmentally appropriate activities
Build strong partnerships with parents and carers
Manage staff recruitment, training, and development
Maintain accurate records, policies, and procedures
Ensure the nursery environment is safe, clean, and welcoming
