Crynodeb
The Haematology & Blood Transfusion Deputy Service Manager is responsible for the provision of the core Haematology and Blood Transfusion laboratory service of the Blood Sciences service at both main NUH sites (QMC and City Hospital). Key Responsibilities are as follows: Provide day-to-day operational management of Haematology and Blood Transfusion services Lead and support a multidisciplinary team of Biomedical Scientists, Associate Practitioners, and support staff Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards Drive quality improvement, audit, and service development initiatives Contribute to budget management, resource allocation, and cost improvement programmes Support recruitment, workforce planning, appraisal, and staff development Manage risk, incident investigation, and governance processes Lead on change management and service transformation projects Please see the attached job description and personal specification for further information regarding the role.
