Short Description:
This is an excellent opportunity for someone at the start of their accountancy career who is keen to gain hands on experience while studying towards a professional qualification. On successful completion of the Level 4 apprenticeship, there may be the opportunity to progress onto Level 7 and continue your journey towards becoming a Chartered Accountant.You will work alongside experienced accountants and advisers, supporting avaried portfolio of clients and gaining exposure to real world accounting, tax and business advisory work.

Monday - Friday 9am to 5pm with 1 hour for lunch
We are looking for a motivated and ambitious ACA Apprentice to join our team as a Level 4 Accounting Technician apprentice.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone at the start of their accountancy career who is keen to gain hands-on experience while studying towards a professional qualification. On successful completion of the Level 4 apprenticeship, there may be the opportunity to progress onto Level 7 and continue your journey towards becoming a Chartered Accountant.

You will work alongside experienced accountants and advisers, supporting a varied portfolio of clients and gaining exposure to real-world accounting, tax and business advisory work.

Key Responsibilities
· Managing data effective collection for a portfolio of clients
· Assisting with the preparation of accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
· Supporting the preparation of VAT returns and bookkeeping for clients
· Assisting with basic tax computations
· Maintaining accurate accounting records using cloud-based software
· Communicating with clients in a professional and friendly manner
· Supporting the wider team with ad-hoc accounting and administrative tasks
· Studying towards the ICAEW Level 4 Accounting Technician qualification alongside your role

Future Prospects:
On successful completion of the Level 4 apprenticeship, there may be the opportunity to progress onto Level 7 and continue your journey towards becoming a Chartered Accountant.

Training Provided:
BPP apprenticeship training programmes are delivered virtually by our fully qualified and industry-experienced training team. Skills Required:
Essential requirements:
· Strong Maths and English qualifications
· Good communication skills, both written and verbal
· Confident IT skills and willingness to learn new software
· A genuine interest in accountancy and business
· Strong attention to detail and a professional approach to work
· Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines

Desirable (but not essential):
· Previous experience in an office or finance-related role
· Familiarity with Excel or cloud accounting software

Qualifications Required:
Maths/ English - whatever requirements are needed for the apprenticeship
