Are you an organised, detail‑driven Accounts Payable professional looking to join a highly respected organisation? This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a long‑term fixed‑term contract with a prestigious company based in Sunderland - and they need someone who can hit the ground running.If you thrive in a fast‑paced finance environment and love keeping processes smooth, accurate, and compliant, this role will keep you engaged right through to April 2027.
What You'll Be Doing
You'll play a key role in ensuring the seamless flow of the Accounts Payable function, including:
- Monitoring and prioritising the AP invoice queue, resolving discrepancies quickly and professionally
- Accurately processing all open tasks via the invoices system
- Ensuring invoices within the NO PO are correctly coded and approved within agreed limits
- Applying correct GL codes and ensuring approvals for surcharges and fully compliant
- Handling high volumes of claims invoices, employee expenses, prepayments, petty cash and additional invoice exceptions
- Proactively managing and resolving queries to reduce invoices on hold
