Hybrid working - Croxley Park, Watford

Help shape the commercial performance of a large, multi-channel retail business.

Signet Jewelers is looking for a Commercial Finance Analyst to join our Commercial Finance team in Watford. This is an exciting opportunity for a newly or part-qualified accountant to step into a highly visible, commercially focused role within a business operating at significant scale.

Working at the heart of the organisation, you’ll partner closely with Buying, Merchandising, Digital and Marketing teams, providing insight that directly influences trading decisions, margin performance and long term profitability.

The opportunity

This role offers exposure to a fast paced retail environment where sales, margin and stock are deeply interconnected. You’ll support the planning, forecasting and reporting of a large and complex commercial operation, helping senior stakeholders understand performance, identify risks and unlock opportunities.

Your analysis won’t sit in spreadsheets — it will actively shape how the business trades.

What you’ll be doing

  • Supporting the planning, forecasting and reporting of a large scale retail business with a significant commercial footprint.
  • Producing accurate and insightful weekly trading and stock flow reporting.
  • Analysing promotional activity, discounting and commercial income streams.
  • Supporting month end delivery across sales, margin and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Reporting on precious metal exposure and supporting hedge forecasting.
  • Partnering with Buying, Merchandising, Digital and Marketing teams to drive performance.
  • Translating complex financial data into clear, commercially relevant recommendations.
  • Identifying risks and opportunities and challenging where appropriate.
  • Driving continuous improvement across commercial reporting and analysis.

What we’re looking for

  • Newly qualified or part qualified accountant (CIMA / ACA / ACCA or equivalent), with the ambition to complete your qualification.
  • Strong analytical skills with a genuine interest in understanding how the business trades.
  • Commercially curious, with the confidence to question and challenge.
  • Clear communicator, comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders.
  • Strong presentation skills and attention to detail.
  • Retail experience is desirable, but not essential.
  • A proactive team player who thrives in a fast moving environment.

We offer a fantastic job and more…

We are passionate about our profession, and together we can help you realise your full potential. Come and be part of Signet Jewelers and enjoy the following fantastic benefits:
