Jennifer Griffiths Recruitment are looking for a Process Maintenance Engineer for a Client in the Bridgend area.
About the role
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Process Maintenance Engineer to maintain and optimize our clients semi-automated production line. The successful candidate will ensure the line runs efficiently, minimize downtime and perform preventative and reactive maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and automation systems.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure the smooth operation of the semi-automated production line.
* Troubleshoot and resolve issues when the line stops to minimize downtime.
* Conduct preventative maintenance on all line equipment, including hydraulics, sensors, riveters, and electrical systems.
* Carry out mechanical and electrical repairs as required.
* Support continuous improvement initiatives to maximise line efficiency and uptime.
* Maintain accurate maintenance records and report issues to management.
* Work closely with Production staff to identify potential process improvements.
Essential Requirements:
* Proven experience in a maintenance role within a manufacturing or production environment.
* Strong mechanical and electrical skills, including experience with hydraulics, sensors and automation equipment.
* Experience in troubleshooting semi-automated production lines.
* Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Good communication skills to work effectively with production and engineering teams.
Desirable:
* Previous experience on semi-automated assembly lines.
* Relevant technical qualifications (HNC, NVQ, City and Guilds, or equivalent).
* Experience with preventative maintenance programs and continuous improvement initiatives.
The hours of work are Monday to Friday day shifts.
