Summary
We are seeking a skilled Robotic Welder to operate, program, and maintain automated welding systems in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have experience with robotic welding equipment, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities
• Set up, operate, and monitor robotic welding machine.
• Program and adjust welding robot (e.g., teach pendant programming)
• Load and position materials or components into fixtures
• Inspect welded components to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on robotic welding equipment
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
• Collaborate with engineers and production teams to improve welding processes
• Maintain accurate production and quality records
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Proven experience in robotic welding or automated manufacturing
• Knowledge of welding techniques (MIG)
• Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Attention to detail and quality control
• Basic computer skills for programming and reporting
Preferred Qualifications
• Certification in welding
• Experience with PLC systems and automation
• NVQ or technical qualification in engineering, manufacturing, or related field
Working Conditions
• Manufacturing or factory environment
• May require standing for long periods and lifting materials
• Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) required
