Crynodeb
The postholder will: Provide routine postnatal care for women and their newborn babies within the community and maternity setting, in accordance with local and national guidelines. Undertake delegated clinical tasks appropriate to Band 3 scope of practice, including: Newborn blood spot screening Newborn hearing screening- with supervision Jaundice screening Maternal observations and postnatal assessments as delegated Obtaining maternal blood samples in line with Trust policy and procedural guidance Deliver evidence-based infant feeding support, promoting breastfeeding and responsive feeding practices in line with national standards. Participate in and support parent craft education, providing information and practical guidance to families.ng. Maintain accurate, contemporaneous written and electronic patient records in accordance with Trust policy, professional standards, and data protection legislation. Work flexibly across the maternity service to support service demand, providing care across community and other maternity teams as required. Recognise, escalate, and document safeguarding concerns promptly and appropriately, reporting to the MDT in a robust and timely manner, and complying with all legal and statutory safeguarding requirements.
