The Cardiovascular CAG is offering an exciting opportunity to join the Barts Heart Centre’s team of administrators within the EP and Intervention Cardiology service, as a Patient Pathway Coordinator. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who will be responsible for the administration of efficient and effective cardiovascular services, demonstrating both high performance and dedication.

The post holder will be responsible for secretarial and validation responsibilities within the cardiology service for Electrophysiology and Intervention cardiology, and when required provide cover across the service where staffing gaps arise. They will be expected to work independently and also within a team with minimal supervision while also utilising their own initiative. The post holder will be responsible to ensure the cardiology PTL is an accurate reflection of the patient waiting list, and patient pathways are maintained in line with RTT rules and NHS policy requirements.

The post holder will be working closely with the Deputy Delivery Manager in ensuring that all validation of patients pathways are up to date and the secretarial duties of the service are met. The post holder will be required to cover alternative administrative duties when staffing gaps occur, as instructed by the Deputy Delivery Manager

The purpose of this post is to actively manage the administrative processes of patient pathways, ensuring a smooth and efficient service for patients throughout their treatment by the Trust.Key responsibilities include front-end validation of patient pathways, tracking and expediting clinical results to help reduce treatment times, and maintaining accurate records of patient notes on Trust systems. The postholder will also contribute to the delivery of a high-quality administration and typing service, supporting the multidisciplinary team to ensure effective communication and coordination of care.
