Job Title: Senior Associate Sustainability

Salary: £65,000 - £80,000
Key Responsibilities for the Senior Associate Sustainability:
• Lead One Click LCA, whole life carbon and circular economy assessments from concept through to delivery.
• Undertake IES modelling to support energy strategies, compliance assessments and optimisation of building performance.
• Produce and lodge EPCs (SAP/SBEM) to Level 5, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.
• Carry out overheating and heat loss calculations, advising design teams on mitigation strategies and fabric/MEP improvements.
• Conduct energy optimisation audits, analysing building performance data and identifying cost-effective energy and carbon reduction measures.
• Deliver daylighting modelling studies to inform façade design, internal layouts and occupant comfort.
• Manage projects end-to-end, including scope definition, programme management, coordination with internal and external stakeholders, and quality control of deliverables.
• Prepare high-quality reports and present findings and recommendations to clients and design teams in a clear, concise manner.
Key Requirements:
• Strong experience in building sustainability or energy consultancy, operating at Senior or strong mid-level and ready to step up.
• Proven hands-on experience with One Click LCA and delivery of whole life carbon and circular economy assessments.
• Proficient in IES VE modelling for compliance and performance analysis, with a solid understanding of building physics.
• Demonstrable experience in producing and lodging Level 5 EPCs and working knowledge of SAP/SBEM methodologies.
• Practical experience conducting overheating and heat loss calculations and advising on design improvements.
• Track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously, delivering on time and to agreed quality standards.
• Strong report writing skills and confidence presenting technical information to clients and non-technical stakeholders.
• Advanced data analysis capability, including handling large datasets and interpreting sustainability performance metrics.
• Experience in developing or contributing to sustainability and net zero strategies for buildings or portfolios.
• Experience in supervising or mentoring junior team members within a consultancy or project environment.
Desirable Skills:
• Experience with PHPP modelling and Passivhaus or ultra-low energy design principles.
• Familiarity with BREEAM, LEED, NABERS or similar sustainability assessment frameworks.
• Experience developing circular economy strategies at building or portfolio level.
• Knowledge of UK planning policy and building regulations related to energy and carbon.
